Default Getting Started - 30-10-2010, 10:21 PM

Hi Guys,
Im looking to get started and would like some advice.
Im Irish, 24 and been living in london for 10 months.
Other than reading Neill Strauss "The Game" about 4 years ago and reading a couple of articles on pick up in magazines etc i have no real experience. Constantly find myself standing on the sidelines in clubs or just drinking with friends while all the girls go home with other guys. After another failed night out last night, and finding myself sitting in watching X factor tonight (without a girl) ive decided i need to put a game together.
Looking for some advice on the approach as this is the big mental block i have.
Thanks,
TIMO DICE

Gday TIMO

Dude you're IRISH, your accent alone should be getting more pussy than you can handle

Just wanted to say you're not alone there mate, I'm two years older than you and I'm willing to bet - even more frustrated!

It seems that most skilled guys say they only really started to improve when they spent time with guys of greater ability, which, in a social context makes perfect sense to me.

Hey Timo

I've done programmes but no seminars, they're typically expensive regurgitated web material.

I notice you say your difficulty is with approach, which is where I stall also.

However something I've gleaned from all these programmes is that your real difficulty often isn't what you think it is. In my case I think I'm perfectly capable of approaching, but I don't because of a lack of confidence in being able to 'follow through', and of course the fear of failure.
